The Hugs & Kisses Bracelet is a charming crochet design featuring delicate X’s nestled between softly textured stitches and beads, like little hugs and kisses wrapped around your wrist. 💕
There is no pre-stringing required! We'll use my signature bead-as-you go method to create a lovely accessory with just the right amount of sparkle and structure.
The bracelet's two layers are worked flat and then joined into a double-layered base, making it both comfortable and sturdy with a clean, polished finish. The sewn X’s add a lovely decorative touch while also enhancing the overall texture.
The sew-on snap closure is simple to add and makes the bracelet easy to wear. The slightly extended length allows the snaps to overlap for a flexible, adjustable, and customizable fit across wrist sizes. It’s a thoughtful gift for yourself or a sweet way to send someone you love a little something special.

✨ Why I Designed Hugs & Kisses
I originally designed the Hugs & Kisses bracelet as a special piece just for myself. The first version featured antique crystals, fine thread, stainless steel components, machine-applied snaps, and a faux leather backing for a polished finish. It was a design I truly loved, but it relied on materials that can be difficult to find or a bit tricky to work with, especially for beginning crocheters.
While I may revisit and publish that original version in the future, I wanted to create something that captures the same look and feel in a way that is more accessible and beginner-friendly.
With that in mind, I set out to find a yarn that had a touch of sparkle and would still feel soft and comfortable against the skin. I came across YarnArt Summer Yarn, and it was exactly what I was looking for. The color range is beautiful, with a subtle shine and a soft, wearable feel that makes it perfect for this design.
This version of the Hugs & Kisses Bracelet keeps the heart of the original, while making it easy and enjoyable for more makers to create and wear.

🧶 Materials I Used in the Tutorial
Yarn: YarnArt, Summer, Sport (#2, Fine), [70% Cotton, 30% Viscose; 370 yds (~350 m) per 100 g (~3.5 oz) ball]. 6 g in MC “33” (aqua) and 8 g in CC “10” (coral pink) or your color(s) of choice. You may substitute another Sport Weight yarn.
Hooks:Â Main Hook = C (2.75 mm); Smaller Hook = 0.75 mm
Beads:Â 6 mm round beads with 1 mm center holes, 9 beads in your color(s) of choice. Glass pearls were used in the samples.
Snap Fasteners: sew-on snap or no-sew snap (ring or spring), 0.58 in (15 mm), 2 sets
Sew-on Snap:Â 1 socket and 2 studs (for project).
No-Sew Snap:Â 1 cap, 1 socket, 2 posts, 2 studs (for project); snap attachment tool.
📏 Finished Size (After Blocking)
Adjustable to fit wrist circumferences 6.5–7.5 in (~16.5–19 cm). Finished bracelet measures 9 in (~23 cm) long × 1 in (~2.5 cm) wide. Extra length allows snaps to overlap when the bracelet is fastened.
đź’ˇ Customization
To adjust bracelet length, work fewer or more reps of the Top Layer sequence (Rows 3–4 twice,
then Rows 5–6 once). Adjust the Bottom Layer by working Rows 3–4 until both layers have the same total rows when finished.
